Overview
Hairy cell leukemia may be caused by mutations in BRAF gene and exposure to radiation, pesticides
Causes
Causes of Hairy cell leukemia may include:[1][2]
- Genetic mutations most common
- radiation exposure
- Pesticide exposure
- HLA haplotype which is sharing among family members
Genetic Causes
- Hairy cell leukemia is caused by a mutation in the BRAF V600E gene mutation.
