There are no other diagnostic findings for hypopituitarism.
Other diagnostic findings may include serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities, serum ferritin to rule out haemochromatosis, human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) and genetic testing in isolated/syndromic MPHD.

Overview

Other diagnostic findings may include serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities, serum ferritin to rule out haemochromatosis, human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) and genetic testing in isolated/syndromic MPHD.

Other Diagnostic Studies

In order to further investigate the cause of hypopituitarism, following investigations may be done

  • Serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities to rule out neurosarcoid
  • Serum ferritin to rule out haemochromatosis
  • Human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) to rule out germ cell tumours
  • Genetic testing in isolated/syndromic MPHD.
