Overview
Other diagnostic findings may include serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities, serum ferritin to rule out haemochromatosis, human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) and genetic testing in isolated/syndromic MPHD.
Other Diagnostic Studies
In order to further investigate the cause of hypopituitarism, following investigations may be done
- Serum and CSF angiotensin converting enzyme activities to rule out neurosarcoid
- Serum ferritin to rule out haemochromatosis
- Human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) to rule out germ cell tumours
- Genetic testing in isolated/syndromic MPHD.
