On renal ultrasound, hantavirus hemorrhagic fever with the renal syndrome may show parenchymal edema, increased echogenicity, and decreased corticomedullary differentiation.

On renal ultrasound, hantavirus hemorrhagic fever with the renal syndrome may show the following signs:

• Parenchymal edema
• Increased echogenicity
• Decreased corticomedullary differentiation.
