Overview
Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. The primary role of the surgery in DLBCL is the diagnosis of the lymphoma.
Surgery
- Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of diffuse large B cell lymphoma due to the efficacy of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hematopoietic Stem cell transplantation.
- The primary role of surgery in DLBCL is diagnostic in the form of lymph node or tissue biopsy.[1]
- Surgery can be considered in treatment of primary splenic, hepatic or gastric Lymphomas.
