Overview

Surgery is not the first-line treatment option for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma.It is used for resistant and locally recurrent types. The methods can be divided into open and minimally invasive nasopharyngectomy.

Surgery

Surgery is not the first-line treatment option for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Surgery is usually reserved for patients with:[1][2][3][4]

  • Resistant nasopharyngeal cancer to treatment
  • Locally recurrent nasopharyngeal cancer
