- Posterior lobe of the pituitary may be absent
- Mass may appear in the pituitary
- Ectopic posterior lobe of the pituitary gland may be observed in cases of pituitary dwarfism
- Infiltrative disorders such a sarcoidosis and histiocytosis may present as thickening of infundibulum[2]
