Overview

Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for Myxomas. The surgeon removes the myxoma, along with at least 5 surrounding millimeters of atrial septum, then repair the septum using material from the pericardium.

Surgery

Surgical intervention includes:

  • Removal of Myxoma
  • Removal of surrounding atrial septum.
  • Atrial septum repair using material form pericardium.
