Causes for Bicuspid Aortic Stenosis
- There is increasing evidence that occurrence of bicuspid aortic valve is heriditary with incidence as high as 10-17% in first-degree relatives of probands.[1]
- Hypercholesterolemia accelerates the stenotic process via calcification.
