Overview

There is no treatment for Caplan Syndrome; the mainstay of therapy is supportive care. Supportive therapy for Caplan Syndrome includes treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, Steroid. Lung transplant for irreversible pulmonary fibrosis.. [1]

Medical Therapy

  • Pharmacologic medical therapies for Caplan Syndrome include steroid therapy, Disease modifying antirheumatic drugs(DMARDS) for Rheumatoid arthritis. Irreversible lung fibrosis requires lung transplantation. [1]
