Overview
History
A detailed and thorough sexual history from the patient is necessary. Specific areas of focus when obtaining a history from the patient include:
- Number and type of sexual partners (new, casual or regular)[1]
- Contraception use
- Previous history of chlamydia infection or other sexually transmitted diseases
Symptoms
The majority of women with chlamydia infection are asymptomatic or present with minimal symptoms.[2][3]
