Note: Dual therapy to cover Chlamydia is indicated.
  • Herpes simplex Virus Conjuctivitis:
  • Preferred regimen: Topical Acyclovir: 1drop 9times per day OR Oral Acyclovir: 400mg 5times per day for 7-10 days
  • Alternative regimen: Oral Valacyclovir:500mg 3times per day for 7-10 days
  • Herpes zoster virus Conjuctivitis:
  • Preferred regimen: Oral Acyclovir : 800mg 5times per day for 7-10days OR Oral Famciclovir:500mg 3times per day for 7-10days
  • Alternate regimen:Oral Valacyclovir: 1000mg 3times per day for 7-10days
