Overview
Ultrasound can be used to diagnose prostatitis. On ultrasonography, focal hypoechoic area in the periphery of the prostate represents prostatitis. Fluid collection can show abscess formation. Colour Doppler ultrasound may also prove to be very effective.[1][2]
