- Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) can help assist the diagnosis of pancreatic fistula.
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography may be used for the diagnosis of a pancreatic fistula.[1][2] Findings on MRCP may reveal pancreatic duct disruption, post-traumatic stricture formation, in some case pancreatic pseudocysts or other pancreas specific injuries that leads to the diagnosis of pancreatic fistula.
