Overview

Depending on the presentation, lung cancer should be differentiated from other lung diseases such as pulmonary tuberculosis,[1] lung abscess, and respiratory tract infection. Once lung cancer is confirmed, non small cell carcinoma should be differentiated from other small cell carcinoma based on histopathological findings.
