How to Create A Guidelines Page

The following steps should be followed when adding or updating the guidelines:

Select a Topic

 • Click here to get a list of valid American Heart Association medical and scientific statements and practice guidelines to work on for this project.
 • To claim a topic, email WikiDoc [2] with the name of the topic you are choosing.
 • Active assignments can be viewed here.

Next Steps

1. Open the disease page you have chosen to add or update the guidelines.

2. Start with the second-level heading (==) and add "(DO NOT EDIT)" at the end of the title as shown in the example below.

2011 ACCF/AHA Guideline for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery (DO NOT EDIT)
3. Use the third-level heading (===) for the subsection and add "(DO NOT EDIT)" at the end of subsection-title as shown in the example below.

Anesthetic Considerations (DO NOT EDIT)
4. Use following codes to make tables for adding the guidelines according to their classification in the following order:

Class I

What you type,

colspan="1" style="text-align:center; background:LightGreen"|Class I
bgcolor="LightGreen"|"1. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: A)"
bgcolor="LightGreen"|”2. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: C)"
bgcolor="LightGreen"|”3. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: B)"

What it looks like,

Class I
"1. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: A)"
2. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: C)"
3. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: B)"

Class III

What you type,

What it looks like,

Class III
"1. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: C)"
2. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: A)"
3. (Paste guideline here) (Level of Evidence: B)"

Class II

What you type,
