Overview

Physical examination is required for the diagnosis of ‪Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease‬. Physical examination findings of ‪Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease‬findings include uncontrolled sporadic laughter, myoclonus, extrapyramidal signs, akinetic mutism, and visual or cerebellar signs[1]

General Appearance

  • Patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease‬ often appear confused.
  • Patients often demonstrate uncontrolled sporadic laughter.
