Cilazapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACE inhibitor) used for the treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure.[1][2] It is branded as Inhibace in Canada and other countries, Vascace and Dynorm in a number of European countries, among many other names. None of these are available in the United States as of May 2010.[3]

Of the eight possible stereoisomers, only the all-S form is medically viable.[citation needed]
