Overview

Simple radiography is the current gold standard for initial diagnosis and evaluation of relapses when multiple myeloma is in consideration. Well defined punched out bony lesions and hair on end appearance are two characteristic findings. Long bones and spine must always be evaluated. While other bones based on symptoms also merit some consideration.
