Overview
Middle east respiratory syndrome coronavirus infection must be differentiated from other respiratory tract infections that cause flu-like symptoms, such as influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
Differential Diagnosis
An adequate medical history and clinical examination, as well as an appropriate epidemiological evaluation must be made to differentiate MERS from other conditions that also produce flu-like symptoms.
