Dr. Samson is a Staff Surgeon in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida Weston. He is also Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director and former Chairman (Interim) of the Department of Plastic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Samson has an Adjunct Clinical Faculty appointment at Barry University in Miami, Fla., and is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Health Sciences Center of Ohio State University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Samson's specialty interests lie in cosmetic surgery of the face and body and cosmetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction.

Dr. Samson is a Staff Surgeon in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida Weston. He is also Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director and former Chairman (Interim) of the Department of Plastic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Samson has an Adjunct Clinical Faculty appointment at Barry University in Miami, Fla., and is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Health Sciences Center of Ohio State University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Samson's specialty interests lie in cosmetic surgery of the face and body and cosmetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction.

After receiving a B.Sc. in physics with first class honors from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, Dr. Samson studied medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, completing his degree in 1995 with academic distinctions in medicine and surgery. Dr. Samson was selected for and completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at Dalhousie University. He subsequently completed advanced training in an aesthetic and breast plastic surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He was appointed to Cleveland Clinic in 2000, and is licensed to practice in Florida, North Carolina, New York and California.

Dr. Samson is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with specialist board certification in plastic surgery. He is also coard certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Samson is a member of numerous regional, national and international plastic surgery associations, including the Association of Academic Chairmen in Plastic Surgery, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Broward County Medical Association, Broward County Society of Plastic Surgeons, Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, South Florida Chapter of American College of Surgeons.

Dr Samson's additional training includes the Allergan Physician Certification Program, Mentor MemoryGel Breast Implants, Device Access Education Course, Sculptural Rejuvenation of the Head and Neck and Facial Features Course, Cynosure Laser Training Comprehensive Course, and the Sculptra Injectable Training Program.

Dr Samson's specialty interests include cosmetic surgery of face and body, breast surgery and reconstruction. He helped pioneer the use of laser assisted ICG dye angiography imaging systems for DIEP flap breast reconstruction, which helps patients by improving surgery success rates in breast reconstruction after cancer mastectomy.

Dr. Samson lectures nationally on topics related to breast reconstruction, microsurgery, and the use of biological meshes in the broad field of plastic surgery.

Dr Samson's awards & honors include Attending Clinician of the Year, Cleveland Clinic Florida/Memorial Regional Hospital Plastic Surgery Residency Program, 2006, Who's Who in America, 2005, Who's Who in Medicine, 2005.
