I am a first year MD/PhD student, interested in mucosal immunology, host microbial interactions, the gut microbiota, and inflammatory bowel disease. I'm a proud state school grad, this past year 2017, where I received a dual degree in biochemistry and nutrition. I'm interested in gastroenterology and clinical nutrition research, as well as the intersection of social issues and medicine.
