I am one of the original software architects of the Veteran's Administration VistA and Department of Defense's CHCS Electronic Health Record systems. I've testified before a Senate Committee on the future of health IT, and am interested in using IT for disruptive innovation in health care to support personalization. I'm very interested in Linked Data architectures, and the development of a high level language to cope with the complexities and accelerating change of health care. I coauthored the Opening Chapter (with Rob Kolodner, then head of the ONC) of: Person-Centered Health Records : Toward HealthePeople, by James E. Demetriades et al, Springer-Verlag, 2005. CTO of New Health Project and hold regular workshops to examine innovative approaches for IT in health. Was a Vice President and Chief Scientist in health care group at Science Applications International Corporation in La Jolla before dropping out of the corporate world to become independent. Here is a video of my conversation with Ward Cunningham (inventor of the wiki) at Health Camp 2011 in Portland, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSnCN-HQXvI
