Fatima Babiker is a Sudanese Medical Doctor and Public Health Professional. She earned her medical degree and license to practice medicine in 2003 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Dr. Babiker then returned to her native Sudan to practice medicine and sit for the Sudanese Medical Council Registration exams, which she successfully completed in 2006. Dr. Babiker's interest in Public Health, more specifically "Health Systems" started while practicing Medicine in Khartoum's general hospitals. After working in Sudan's National AIDS program and the United Nations, she went to earn her Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) /Global Health track from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 2009. Dr. Babiker's areas of special interest include Emergency Medicine , Health economics , Health Planning & Evaluation and Health systems Research. She has ever since worked in health programs for offices of the United Nations in different developing countries.
