Professional Background
Anthony Gallo was a member of the PERFUSE Study Group from 2014-2017. He is currently a gastroenterology fellow at Penn State Medical Center. Prior to that, he was Chief Resident at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He graduated medical school from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served as Chair of the Medical Society of New Jersey and is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Previously, he was an undergraduate research student at the PERFUSE Study Group at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He graduated from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA with a bachelor of science degree in Biology; he was also a member in the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. Anthony was an associate editor-in-chief at WikiDoc.org where he authors content in infectious disease. He has also trained new domestic and international postdoctoral fellows.
