Dr. Alberto Castro Molina is a physician and cardiovascular research fellow whose work bridges clinical medicine, evidence generation, and medical education. He currently serves as Director of the WikiDoc Scholar Program and Associate Editor-in-Chief at WikiDoc.org, where he oversees scholar recruitment and training, guides content development, and contributes to editorial quality and strategy. Working under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Gibson, he participates in the conduct of cardiovascular clinical trials and in the development of guideline-focused and educational resources for clinicians and trainees.
Dr. Castro Molina earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin, an experience that solidified his early interest in science and medicine. He completed the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (PPCR) program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, further strengthening his foundation in clinical research methodology. He obtained his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, where he trained in both public and private hospitals and cared for a wide range of patient populations, including underserved communities. His clinical exposure in the United States was enriched through participation in the William J. Harrington Medical Training Program at the University of Miami.
These combined experiences have shaped his dedication to internal medicine and cardiology and his commitment to a career that integrates patient care, clinical research, and the training of future generations of physicians.
