Trypanosoma evansi is a protozoan trypanosome in the genus trypanosoma that causes one form of the surra disease in animals. It is pathogenic and rarely causes disease in humans.[1] It is very common in India and causes acute disease in camels and horses and chronic disease in cattle and buffaloes.
