Overview

An electrocardiogram can be used to differentiate some of causes of painful swallowing with a cardiac origin.

Electrocardiogram:

An electrocardiogram can be used to assess for left atrial enlargement or in viral infections also causing pericarditis. It may also be used to differentiate the cause of esophageal spasm.[1][2][3]
