Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center, Marina Campus
Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center, Marina Campus is a hospital in Marina del Rey, California, USA. The hospital was formerly known as Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital after it was purchased in 1980 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, founders of Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital.[1][2] It is one of the three campuses that make up Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center. Originally known as Marina Mercy Hospital, it was under construction in 1969.[3] The two Daniel Freeman hospitals were acquired in 2001 by Tenet Healthcare.[4] The name was changed in 2004, when the hospital was transferred to the Centinela Freeman HealthSystem.[5]
The hospital's rehab center has treated celebrities such as Jean-Claude Van Damme, Matthew Perry, and Dennis Wilson.[6]
