Overview

Buford complex is the anatomical variant seen in 1.5% of individuals. A Buford comlpex is composed of thickening of the middle glenohumeral ligament combined with absence of the anterosuperior labrum with the middle glenohumeral ligament attaching directly on the anterosuperior glenoid. The significance of a Buford complex is that it should not be mistaken for a displaced labral fragment.
