Overview
A chest x-ray may be helpful in the diagnosis of ehrlichiosis. Findings on a chest x-ray indicating acute respiratory distress syndrome may be suggestive of an ehrlichiosis infection.

- A chest x-ray may be useful when diagnosing the possible complications of ehrlichiosis.
- The potential pulmonary complications of ehrlichiosis visible on a chest x-ray include ARDS, general edema, pulmonary infiltrates, and noncardiogenic pulmonary edema. [1]
