RESEARCH

• 2015-2019, o “The role of neuron specific enolase in detecting preoperative brain injury in children and toddlers with congenital heart disease” Performed a case control study under supervision of Prof. Dr. Hadeer Abdel-Ghafar, Head of Paediatric department Fayoum university and Dr. Heba Awady, assistant Professor of Pediatrics. Children with congenital heart disease were tested for susceptibility to adverse neurological outcomes after corrective surgery. This was done using a serum marker of neuronal injury.
