History

Common Symptoms

The symptoms of bunions include-

  • Swelling of the metatarsophalangeal joint
  • Irritated skin around the bunion
  • Joint redness and pain over the joint, aggravated by pressure from shoes
  • Possible shift of the big toe toward the other toes
  • Red, callouse skin along the inside edge of the big toe
  • A bony bump along the inside edge of the big toe
