As the breast abscess is the complicated form of the mastitis so, the pathogenesis like the mastitis pathogenesis. Moreover, breast abscess is one form of the skin abscesses which is a cavity in the skin soft tissue containing pus. The abscess is formed by the necrotizing tissues caused by bacterial infection and immune system. The pathophysiology depends on the lactation state of the woman either lactating condition or non-lactating.

  • Clinical presentation: Lactational and Non-Lactational.
