Overview

Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia may be classified according to histology into four subtypes: invasive mole,  choriocarcinoma, placental-site trophoblastic tumor, and epithelioid trophoblastic tumor.[1]

Classification

  • Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia is classified as follows: [1]
  • Invasive mole
  • Choriocarcinoma
  • Placental-site trophoblastic tumor (PSTT); (very rare)
  • Epithelioid trophoblastic tumor (ETT); (extremely rare)
