There are certain important clues that can be obtained from history of the patients. Enquiry of patient certain things will help in accaurate diagnosis and treatment.

History

History about the pain

  • Onset,quality and severity of pain, localization of pain
  • Changes in visual acuity
  • Associated symptoms of photophobia, floaters, headache,visual loss etc
  • Pain on blinking
  • Pain on movement of eyeballs

History about the cause

  • Any other systemic or sinus infections
  • Use of contact lens
  • Any recent travel
  • Any allergies
  • Kind of occupation
  • Recent trauma

History about comorbidities

  • History of autoimmune disease
  • History of any immunodeficiency conditions
  • History of medication(topical & systemic)
  • History of similar conditions in the past
