Burkitt's lymphoma is caused by translocation between chromosomes 8 and 14 or one of its variants [t(2;8)] or t(8;22)[c-myc and κ light chain gene). Demonstration of surface expression of immunoglobulin and any one of the above cytogenetic abnormalities is confirmatory.
