Diagnostic evaluation of Ataxia include:

• Complete blood counts and differential count
• Cerebrospinal fluid examination for cell count, proteins and glucose levels - if fever is present
• Toxicology screening
• CT brain with and without contrast - for intracranial bleeding and lesions
• MRI brain - for masses
• Genetic testing
