I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in 1997, and currently work for a law firm that helps people with disabilities to obtain Social Security benefits. I also have experience in computer networking. My interests include neuroscience and, in particular, the neuroanatomic basis for consciousness.

I support the idea of placing automated external defibrillators in police cars, as is done in Rochester, Minnesota, because I believe this saves lives.
