Overview
Lymphangitis is characterized by a history suggestive of infection by causative organisms and symptoms such as red linear streaks over the skin, tender regional lymphadenopathy and fever.
History and Symptoms
Lymphangitis can present with any of the following symptoms
- Fever
- Chills
- Headache
- Loss of appetite
- Malaise
- Enlarged and tender lymph nodes
- Muscle aches
- Red streaks from the infected area to the regional lymph node
- Throbbing pain along the affected area
