Liposarcoma are the second most common type of soft tissue sarcoma in adults.
Incidence
Annually .25 cases occur per 100,000 population.
Age
Most frequent in middle-aged and older adults (age 40 and above), liposarcomas are the most common of all soft-tissue sarcomas. Tumors of adult life with median age of 55-60 years,
Sex
Men are slightly more affected than women.
