Myocardial infarction is by far the most common cause of LV aneurysm formation. less common causes include HCM, trauma, idiopathic and congenital abnormalities.
==Causes==
The most common cause of LV aneurysm is myocardial infarction. It counts for approximately 90% of apical aneurysms.
Other less common causes include:
*HCM
*Trauma
*Idiopathic
*Congenital
*Iatrogenic
*Sarcoidosis
