Gross Pathology

On gross pathology, HIV-associated nephropathy is characterized as the renal being pale, unevenly enlarged, having a smooth cortical surface and tubulars that are dilatated.

Microscopic Pathology

On microscopic histological analysis, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, tubuointerstital injury, and microcystic tubular dilation are characteristics findings of HIV-associated nephropathy.
