Differential diagnosis of cystadenomas include simple liver cysts, parasitic cysts (particularly hydatid cyst), haematomas, post-traumatic cysts, liver abscess, polycystic diseases biliary cystadenocarcinoma, and metastatic, ovarian, or pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Differential diagnosis of cystadenomas include simple liver cysts, parasitic cysts (particularly hydatid cyst), haematomas, post-traumatic cysts, liver abscess, polycystic diseases biliary cystadenocarcinoma, and metastatic, ovarian, or pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Extra hepatic biliary cystadenomas can typically mimic choledochal cyst.[2]
