  • Avoid the sun, especially around the peak intensity of the midday sun
  • Use sunscreen year-round
  • Wear protective clothing
  • Avoid tanning beds
  • Be aware of any skin changes
  • Wear sunglasses to protect the eyes and the skin around them from UV rays
  • Wear a hat that protects the face, neck, and ears
