Overview

Aortic insufficiency of hypertensive type is usually diagnosed by exclusion of other causes of aortic insufficiency; such as rheumatic aortic insufficiency, or aortic insufficiency due to syphilis. Aortic insufficiency must be clinically differentiated from other cardiac or pulmonary conditions with similar symptoms such as mitral regurgitation.

Differential Diagnosis

Acute Aortic Insufficiency

Chronic Aortic Insufficiency
