Differentiating sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung from other Diseases

Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung must be differentiated from some serious infectious diseases of the lung and other types of lung cancer.

  • Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung must be differentiated from the following infectious diseases of the lung that can cause cough, weight loss, hemoptysis, and dyspnea among adults with the help of chest X-ray, CT-scan of the chest, sputum culture and stain specific for microbes.
  • Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the lung must be differentiated from different types of lung malignancies with the help of biopsy results and immunohistopathological staining.
