Overview
An x-ray with barium meal may be helpful in the diagnosis of linitis plastica. Findings on an x-ray suggestive of  linitis plastica include a flask shaped stomach with a narrow lumen, loss of normal mucosal folds and a lack of distensibility. Barium study may be superior to endoscopy in diagnosis of linitis plastica.
