Gillian Morgan

Dame Gillian Morgan was appointed as Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation in 2002, after a career in both medicine and management, including a period as Chief Executive of North and East Devon Health Authority.

She has previously worked as a doctor in hospitals, general practice and public health, including as the Director of Public Health for Leicestershire. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Faculty of Public Health and a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

She was made a Dame of the British Empire in June 2004 and was awarded Honorary Doctor of Science by The City University, London, London in May 2006.[1]
