Overview

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is considered the most cost effective treatment since it prevents recurrence and complications from happening in the future.

Cost-effectiveness of Therapy

  • Economical therapies include laparoscopic cholecystectomy.[1][2]
  • It is considered cost-effective since laparoscopic cholecystectomy removes gallstones 99% of the time and avoids the need for prolonged hospital stays, recovery time, medical costs and future intervention.
